DPG’s customized stand-alone servers can be rebooted independently, have their own root access, users, IP addresses, software, memory, processes, files, applications, system libraries and configuration files.
The light overhead and efficient design makes it the right virtualization choice for production servers with live applications and real-life data servers.
In addition, our servers are Quad Core Xeon with 16GB of RAM coupled with hot swappable RAID I drives protected by enterprise Juniper Netscreen and Tipping Point intrusion devices.
Customers should be also aware that our servers are PCI DSS compliant. PCI DSS stands for Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard. It
was developed by the major credit card companies as a guideline to help organizations that process card payments to prevent credit card fraud, cracking and various other security vulnerabilities and threats. A company processing, storing, or transmitting payment card data must be PCI DSS compliant or risk losing their ability to process credit card payments and being audited and/or fined.
With data being stored virtually, PCI standards are set up to help businesses maintain better practices. These better practices can begin with ‘hey, do you have a lock on your door?’ to ‘do you have scanning procedures in place?’ to ‘is your software and are your firewalls up-to-date? Being PCI DSS compliant, without being forced to do it, just makes good business sense, period.
PCI DSS is a worldwide security standard assembled by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council (PCI SSC). The PCI security standards are technical and operational requirements that were created to help organizations that process card payments prevent credit card fraud, securely retain personal information, and to prevent hacking and various other security vulnerabilities and threats.
